Industry
The chemical, petroleum and petrochemical sectors depend on alloys to meet today’s industrial challenges.
Home Alloys Markets Industry
Increasingly stringent environmental regulations require industry to adopt new processes and solutions. However, these processes and solutions must also be able to deliver increased efficiency, profitability, and safety.
Thanks to their combination of high mechanical characteristics at high temperatures and in corrosive environments, alloys meet all these demands.
Our key products
IMPHY® 625 is a nickel-based austenitic alloy containing chromium and molybdenum. These elements provide excellent corrosion resistance in aqueous, acid and chloride environments, as well as resistance to crevice corrosion. IMPHY® 625 is not susce…
IMPHY® 718 is an age-hardenable Nickel Chromium Alloy with a significant amount of Fe, Nb and Mo and containing lesser amounts of Al and Ti. This alloy combines excellent high strength up to 700°C with good corrosion resistance and excellent welda…
IMPHY® N99 has a good mechanical properties within a wide range of temperatures. IMPHY® N99 has also a good thermal, electrical and magnetostrictive properties.
PERMIMPHY is a 80% Nickel soft magnetic alloy. This crystalline alloy has a very high permeability, the lowest magnetic losses and is stress resistant. PERMIMPHY for Wafer fab production equipment shielding ? learn more

Applications
Precision mould for composite parts
INVAR®’s low thermal expansion and curve of dimensional variation during cooling from composites curing temperature (180°C) allow for the manufacturing of composite parts with perfect dimensional accuracy (in the order of 0.1 millimeter). It also offers good weldability and machinability, enabling low cost manufacturing and ensuring a long service life.
Waste burners and biomass power plants
Incineration processes, high-temperature waste treatment systems and environmental release all involve the combustion of organic substances and all require the use of alloys with good corrosion and oxidation resistance, good mechanical properties over a wide range of temperatures and corrosive media.
Food and textile machines
With a high t°c, our Iron-Cr-Al & Ni-Cr alloys are ideal for the shielded electric resistance machines used by the textile and food industries. And our Resistohm 80 grade has the creep strength demanded by the hot welding machines used to seal plastic bags (for laundry service & food industry).
Industrial furnaces
Alloys’ combination of excellent creep behavior at intermediate temperatures and corrosion resistance at very high temperatures makes them the material of choice for industrial furnaces.
Chemical Process (CPI)
Thanks to their exceptional anti-corrosion properties, even in the harshest of environments, alloys are used by the chemical, petrochemical, food, and pulp and paper industries – to name only a few.
Transformers
Thanks to low temperature losses, our magnetic alloys (E/I parts) and cores are perfect for compact transformers that demand high efficiency.
Motors
Thanks to low temperature losses, our magnetic alloys (E/I parts) and cores are perfect for compact transformers that demand high efficiency.
Desalination & water treatment
Alloys offer excellent corrosion resistance and mechanical properties across a wide range of temperatures. That’s why they are regularly used for desalination, the process of extracting salt from seawater to create suitable water for drinking and irrigation.
